Art

Visual arts education inspires students to perceive and shape the visual, spatial and aesthetic characteristics of the world around them. Using a variety of ways to explore, learn and communicate, students develop their capacity for imaginative and reflective thinking.

 

Basic Text:

No basic text is used. Art reference materials, periodicals, videos and transparencies, illustrative posters and current graphics are utilized to illuminate and reinforce the students’ exploratory and creative visual experiences.

 

General Objectives:

To extend and build sequentially on students’ previous art experiences and provide exploratory activities in many phases of art production.

 

Grade six students have the ability to do a wide range of art activities. They can sketch, make layout designs and make use of color theory. They can visualize and draw in perspective and make use of two-point perspective.

  • Watercolor
