Superintendent Search Screening Committee Selected

FRAMINGHAM -- We appreciate the many volunteers who expressed an interest in the Screening Committee for the superintendent search. We heard from over 70 applicants. In the process, the hope was that the Screening Committee members would represent important aspects of Framingham. Given the great interest, we were able to assemble a strong committee representing varied experiences and viewpoints. Superintendent Leadership Profile

The School Committee's search consultants from Future Management Systems of Beverly, Massachusetts, utilized the community's input from 715 Online Survey responses and the feedback of 88 participants in nine Focus Groups to develop a Leadership Profile.  The profile was presented to the School Committee at the November 22nd regularly scheduled meeting.  The profile will help guide the Screening Committee in its consideration of the applicants. The Leadership Profile will be available shortly on the district website.

Finalist Candidates

We expect that the finalist candidates chosen by the Screening Committee will be announced to the School Committee in late January.  Subsequently, the finalists will meet with the School Committee in open session.  Public forums will be scheduled and announced at that point.   The School Committee anticipates making a final decision about the new Superintendent no later than March 2012.
