MWRTA Network Redesign begins SEPTEMBER 8TH!

Posted Date: 09/02/26 (03:30 PM)

We are sharing the information below on behalf of our partners at the
MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA).

The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority is launching a redesigned bus network on Tuesday, September 8th – ALL MWRTA bus routes will be changing!

Changes include a new route numbering system, two-way service on many routes, expanded service in select areas, easier connections, and more frequent service!

How does this affect the schools? We hope that this redesign will provide easier and more efficient access to Framingham public schools.  Some changes include:

  • Express morning trips to Framingham High on Route 103

  • *NEW* access to Brophy Elementary School via Pleasant St. (Route 207)

  • *NEW* closer access to Barbiere Elementary School via Fountain St. (Route 104)

  • Walsh Middle School no longer requires a deviation/call in request (Route 203)

Please view the PDF to see which routes will provide access to each school, and where the best stop point is.  All route schedules and maps can be found at www.mwrta.com/redesign.

Questions? If you are unsure of what your new route will be, or have any additional questions, please reach out to us by calling (508) 935-2222 or emailing info@mwrta.com.
