Title IV-A Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE)

Purpose


The purpose of the Title IV is to provide all students with access to a well-rounded education, improve school conditions for student learning, and improve the use of technology in order to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students.   

As a district, we have used Title IV funds towards:  

- Improving our schools condition for student learning

  • Social emotional learning, which includes, strengthening school climate and culture

 

- Providing usage of technology to contribute to literacy (well-rounded education)

  • Including Quaver software: innnovated web based program that uses the music and the arts to build core social emotial learning skill in both teachers and    students

 

- Professional Development (Social Emotional Learning)

  • Students and Teachers: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making
  • Culturally Resposive Classrooms: teaching to recognizes the importance of including students' cultural references in all aspects of learning, enriching classroom experiences and keeping students engaged
