FHS Dissects Albatross Boluses
Students in Rebecca Maynard's class were visited by Lindblad Expeditions to follow up on what teachers do post-fellowship. The lesson that day was dissecting albatross boluses. Albatrosses are seabirds that spend most of their time at sea. Boluses are regurgitated indigestible material. Unfortunately, they contain a lot of plastic. The students massed the boluses, dissected the boluses, then calculated the percentage of synthetic versus natural material. Some groups found close to 23% synthetics. These boluses came all the way from Hawaii and were much anticipated after Rebecca waited two years to receive them.

We had families from various cultural backgrounds showcase heritage through food, art, informative displays and more. It was such a wonderful event to have at Dunning!

Mornings at the Museum
Join us for "Mornings at the Museum," where young learners (ages 5-8) and their caregivers can explore history through fun, hands-on activities. This is a FREE program on select Saturdays in November and December.
Each 90-minute session features a new theme, from creating clay sculptures inspired by Meta Warrick Fuller to uncovering the history of Framingham's farming roots. With storytelling, crafts, and real artifacts, children will engage in multisensory learning that brings the past to life. Take-home materials will help families continue the learning journey together.
This program is multilingual (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) and generously funded through the Cummings Foundation.
