The MA Group Insurance Commission (GIC) provides high-quality health insurance and other benefits to state, municipal, and school district employees, as well as retirees, their dependents, and survivors. If you are eligible for GIC benefits, please review the plan options below, along with information on how to enroll as a new hire or during the annual open enrollment period. Annual open enrollment provides current participants the opportunity to review their coverage and make changes, if desired.

KEEP IN MIND!
Once you choose a health plan, you cannot change plans during the year unless you have a qualifying status change, move out of the plan’s service area, or are retiring and becoming eligible for Medicare. If your doctor or hospital leaves your health plan, you must find a new participating provider in your chosen plan.
