WHAT IS TITLE IX

Title IX is a federal law ensuring that no student in Framingham Public Schools is excluded from or denied the benefits of any educational program based on their sex. The district maintains a zero-tolerance policy for sex discrimination, retaliation, and sexual harassment—which includes unwelcome quid pro quo demands, severe behavior that impairs learning, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence.

This page and its Student Title IX Incident Report Form are designed specifically for families and caregivers to submit a report if their child is an alleged victim of a Title IX incident:

Easy Online Reporting
Families can use the online form to document what happened, identifying the impacted student (complainant), the accused person (respondent), and specific incident details like dates, times, locations, and witnesses. Note that a separate form must be filled out for each reporting student and each accused individual.
Immediate Free Support
Submitting a report allows the district to immediately offer non-punitive supportive measures—such as class schedule adjustments, academic deadline extensions, counseling, campus escorts, or no-contact orders. These safety supports are provided right away, even if you choose not to pursue a formal investigation.
Privacy & Protection
Reports are kept strictly confidential under FERPA to the fullest extent permitted by law, and anonymous submissions are accepted.

Important Guidance Before Completing the Form

Multilingual Access
The report form is available in English, Español, Português, and Kreyòl Ayisyen. Caregivers can also indicate their preferred language for District outreach.
Separate Forms Required
Complete a separate report form for each reporting student (complainant) and a separate form for each accused individual (respondent).
Privacy & Confidentiality
Reports are kept strictly confidential under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) to the fullest extent permitted by law. Anonymous reports are accepted, though providing contact details allows the District to deliver direct support.

These safety supports are provided immediately, even if you choose not to file a formal complaint.

To safeguard the integrity of the investigation, please do not discuss this report with the alleged respondent. Contact the Title IX Coordinator or your School Principal first if you need immediate guidance.
